Layn Asher Daybreak
About me:
Born and raised in the pacific northwest. I strive to be someone that disabled kids and teens everywhere can look up to. Growing up I was always weaker than the others, and they were often glad to remind me of that simple fact. Bullied in the years of preschool all the way through middle school and completely alone, well, except for my 2 best friends. Eventually one day someone I am glad to call my friend to this very day, looked at me and asked me if I wanted to try something new with her, and go try out for art school. I had never even touched a sketchbook, I thought she was crazy. she told me there was choir too, and after that I didn't really see the point in fighting.
I started going to an arts academy in high school. Number 19 on the waitlist so I wasn't accepted till October of 2020 After deciding singing wasn't for me, I took animation class. and when I tell you my mom damn near walked down to the office and requested I transfer out immediately I mean it. My father and I talked her out of it and she let me take it. Now, I am set to graduate soon, as the only level 4 animator from that school ever, and also as the only visually disabled animator I know.
I wasn't diagnosed with any of my disabilities on time, and it held me back a lot. If I had someone like me to look up too, I probably would have had a lot more confidence back in the day. So I founded Memory Layn Studios, a place where me and my friends can make art without the judgment from large companies or our own selves to hold us back. We are free of the judgement cast on us because of race, religion, ability, gender, and sexuality. And that, is all I have to say about myself, watch what I create if you want to know more. I've been through hell but I don't think its fair to you as my reader to make you read the whole thing. I want people to have fun on this site, and when interacting with our brand as a whole.
